February 7, 2022 -

Parkland School Division is committed to growth and learning. We are also committed to engaging with our community on behalf of the students we serve. Thank you for your involvement in this education planning process that develops a Division and school education plan. This will pave the way to our Ultimate Goal: Student Success & Well-being.

Click here to participate in our community ThoughtExchange

Keep coming back. The Exchange will be open for you to visit frequently between now and Monday, February 21st.

Our stakeholders are actively engaged in the development of local priorities and plans. Our Education Plan exists so that we remain simultaneously forward-thinking and responsive to stakeholder concerns.

All information collected by this ThoughtExchange will be reviewed by our school-based administrators and Division Executive as part of our Assurance Model framework. Our administrators will identify trends and issues that will be further unpacked with the assistance of School Councils and through parent engagement events designed to create localized strategies to help us achieve our Division goals and outcomes. You will also see information shared by our stakeholders reflected in our schools’ planning documents.

The Process

How a ThoughtExchange Works

You'll be asked to answer one open-ended question with as many responses as you like and then move on to the next step which is Star. In Star, you'll see your thoughts and the thoughts of others and assign stars to each thought (from 1-5) depending on how strongly you agree or disagree with the idea.

Please note: During the 'Star' phase, if you come across a thought that does not apply to you, simply hit the three purple buttons and skip the thought, rather than applying a star to that thought.)

ThoughtExchange keeps confidential who shared each thought and who assigned what ratings. You can rate as many thoughts as you'd like before moving on to Discover where you can see all the thoughts sorted by the average star rating.

You can also navigate by using the bar across the top to go back and share more ideas or star some more thoughts at any time.
