Regular Board Meeting Highlights - Tuesday, September 9, 2025

Tuesday, September 9, 2025 - The Board of Trustees is pleased to share with all education stakeholders the highlights of our recent Board meeting held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The adopted minutes will be available on our website following the next Regular Board meeting.

Update: 

• The Board approved a pair of revised Board Policies as recommended by the Policy Review Committee, including:
  • Revised Board Policy 7: Appendix 7.3: Trustee Remuneration Schedule; and
  • The Board approved revised Board Policy 4: Appendix 4.1: Trustee Code of Conduct Sanctions.
• The Board approved a recommendation that any surplus realized at the end of the 2024/2025 fiscal year, excluding those amounts required to be moved to capital reserves in accordance with the funding manual (Alberta Education Funding Manual for School Authorities) or to offset amortization, be transferred to operating reserves.
• The Board received as information the Human Resources Report, as presented by Director, Human Resources, Amy Goerzen.
• The Board received as information the Student Conduct and Intervention Report, as presented by Deputy Superintendent, Mark Francis, and Associate Superintendent, Dr. Meg Miskolzie. 

The next Regular Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 9am, which will be the first meeting for a newly elected Board following the municipal election on October 20, 2025.
