First Ride Safety Program
The First Ride Safety Program is available to new students entering Kindergarten and Grade 1, who are registered for busing. First Ride aims to provide a positive learning experience for both students and parents/guardians. The program is offered in August and consists of instructional time that focuses on bus safety, rules and procedures, followed by a bus ride to one of our school-based bus transfer sites. First Ride is highly recommended as it provides students with the confidence and safety knowledge needed to ride the bus on the first day of school and beyond.
2023 First Ride Sessions
Sessions are offered twice daily and held at PSD's Division Office (Centre For Education).
Dates: August 22, 23 & 24
Times: Session One 9-10am & Session Two 11am-12pm
Location: PSD Division Office/Centre For Education (4603 48th Street, Stony Plain)
To register, please call Transportation Services at 780-963-8452. If any accommodations need to be made for either parents or first riders, please let us know at the time of registration. Due to space considerations, only one parent per student may attend. Siblings will not have a space on the bus as well.
