School Bus Driver Appreciation Day

In Recognition, Transportation

Today, on School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, Parkland School Division proudly recognizes the efforts of bus operators, whose commitment to safety is valued by staff, students and families. These individuals are a vital part of our school communities, and their hard work helps ensure students travel safely on their journey, starting and ending the school day exactly where they need to be.

Parkland School Division manages one of the largest student transportation systems in the province, serving not only our division but also Evergreen Catholic School Division and local area private schools. Our drivers operate over 150 contracted buses, providing a safe ride to and from school for over 7,000 students. Collectively, our buses travel more than 19,000 kilometres every school day.

To all of our bus operators, today and every day—thanks for going the extra mile!
