Principal Hired for Connections for Learning

May 9, 2025 - Parkland School Division’s (PSD) Superintendent of Schools, Shauna Boyce, is pleased to announce Mr. Warren Moody as the next Principal of Connections for Learning (CFL), effective August, 2025. CFL is an alternative education site for PSD that hosts a variety of programs to support parental choice and student learning needs. Programming is available for Grades 1-12. There are notable differences in the structure of our various programs to suit students and families and is the parent school for Outreach campuses for both Memorial Composite High School and Spruce Grove Composite High School, alternative programs such as MyPATH and the Learning Hub as well as the Parkland Student Athlete Academy among others.

Warren Moody, Principal
Connections for Learning (Gr. 1-12)
Warren Moody has been with the Spruce Grove Composite High School community since the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year. He joined as an Assistant Principal, specifically the Grade 12 Grade Coordinator. He later assumed Acting Principal duties at the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Warren joined Parkland School Division in the 2020-2021 school year following a 6-year stint with Sturgeon Public Schools. He has served students as the Assistant Principal at Stony Plain Central School before Westview School opened its doors. Previously, he was Principal of a Middle Years school in Gibbons, AB. Mr. Moody began his teaching career with Northern Gateway Public Schools in Whitecourt, AB primarily based in a Grade 6/7 split class as part of a Hockey Canada Skills Academy. He has both Middle Years and High School level experience.
Warren earned a combined Bachelor of Education/Physical Education degree from the University of Alberta in 2010. He also added a Masters of Education (Educational Leadership) from the University of Lethbridge in 2019. In 2020, Mr. Moody also earned an Executive Education Certificate from the University of Alberta School of Business.
