Engagement Resumes on Social Studies Curriculum

September 19, 2023 - Albertans can share their thoughts on what they’d like students to learn in Alberta’s social studies curriculum. Complete the survey by October 16 at:

Survey results will be used to inform draft curriculum before it’s released for further engagement.

As part of the first phase of engagement, Alberta Education is gathering information about what Albertans would like students to learn in the Social Studies curriculum through a survey and discussion guide on Alberta.ca. A discussion guide has been developed that can be used as a tool to facilitate conversations within communities and help Albertans organize their feedback before completing the survey.

The survey will remain open until October 16, 2023.
