Tuesday, April 15, 2025 - The Board of Trustees is pleased to share with all education stakeholders the highlights of our recent Board meeting held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The adopted minutes will be available on our website following the next Regular Board meeting.
Update:
- The Board approved the 2025-2026 Fees and Allowances. There were no changes to Transportation fees as the changes in the provincial Transportation grant offset the anticipated inflationary increases. Some school fees required adjustment, based on discussion with schools, to keep up with inflationary increases.
- The Board approved the 2025-2026 Budget Assumptions. The assumptions are the foundational components around which the budget is built, including revenues, allocation to schools, enrolment and key expenditures such as staffing.
- The Board approved the Audit Committee's recommendation for Trustee Remuneration Scenario 3. This scenario includes no increase to base salaries, but a $250 annual increase to the Health Spending Account and an increase of $2,980 per year to the Chair allowance.
- The Board approved a revised Board Policy 15: School Closures.
- The Board approved a revised Board Policy 19: Surplus Land and Buildings.
The next Regular Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 9am.
