Tuesday, April 12, 2022 - The Board of Trustees is pleased to share with all education stakeholders the highlights of our recent Board meeting on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. The adopted minutes will be available on our website following the next Regular Board meeting.

Update:

  • The Board welcomed a delegation to present on the topic PSD's Dual Credit Program. It's really Post-Secondary Partnership program with Parkland School Division and number of post-secondary institutions such as Athabasca University, Northern Lakes College, Portage College and Lakeland College. Watch the video delegation featuring PSD's Off-Campus Education Facilitator, Mike Partington, Athabasca University's Post-Secondary Partnerships Specialist, Michael Shouldice, Grade 11 student Katelyn Van Den Bussche (MCHS), and Grade 12 student Tacey Robertson (MCHS). 
  • The Board approved the 2022-2023 Budget Assumptions.
  • The Board received as information, the Quarterly Financial Report for the period ending February 28, 2022. As of February 28th, revenues year-to-date were $67.8 million and expenditures year-to-date were $67 million resulting in a surplus of $821 thousand. A deficit of $2.0 million is currently forecast for the year ended August 31, 2022 which is the same as the budget.
  • The Board received as information, the School Resource Officer Report (SRO), as presented by Spruce Grove Composite High School Assistant Principal, Cam Robertson and Corporal Cuneyt Zanbak who was filling in for SRO Constable Gord Marshall.
