Tuesday, September 10, 2024 - The Board of Trustees is pleased to share with all education stakeholders the highlights of our recent Board meeting held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The adopted minutes will be available on our website following the next Regular Board meeting.

Update:

  • During the Board's Organizational Meeting for the 2024-2025 school year held in June, by acclamation, the Board re-elected Ward 2 trustee Lorraine Stewart as Board Chair and elected Aimee Hennig as Vice-Chair. Both took their Oath-of-office at September's regular meeting.
  • The Board received as information the Facilities Services Department Report, as presented by Director, Facilities Services, Serge LaBrie.
  • The Board received as information the Off-Site Activities Report, as presented by Associate Superintendent, Scott Johnston.
  • The Board received as information the Human Resources Report as presented by Director, Human Resources, Amy Goerzen.
  • With action in response to in-camera, the Board directed Board Chair to enter into formal agreement with the City of Spruce Grove, pursuant to key the considerations presented in-camera, regarding the purchase of land, the replacement of Spruce Grove Composite High School and the replacement of Horizon Stage. Additionally, the Board directed PSD Administration to work cooperatively regarding communication on this matter with the City of Spruce Grove.  

The next Regular Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 9am.
