Celebration, Community Event

Education Week kicked off Monday, April 7, 2025 this year and runs until Friday, April 11, 2025 with the theme 'Learning Uplifts All.'

Education Week, established by the Alberta Teachers Association, is a celebration of community, with the first one being held December 2, 1928 through December 8, 1928, with the main goal staying the same throughout its history: celebrate the importance of education and the remarkable things happening in Alberta schools.

The 'Learning Uplifts All' theme has a number of specific objectives this year including optimal learning conditions for every Alberta child, creative and innovative learning programs, keeping parents and teachers involved and supportive of learning and opportunities for teachers to continue to develop their skills.

You can find out more about Education Week on the Alberta Teacher's Association website.
