Remembrance Day

Every year on November 11, Canadians pause in a silent moment of remembrance for the people who have served and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace. Leading up to Remembrance Day, Parkland School Division staff and students will observe a moment of silence, and some will host ceremonies. Learn more about Remembrance Day by visiting the Government of Canada's website.

Veterans' Week (Nov. 5-11)

The year 2024 marks the seventy-sixth anniversary of United Nations peacekeeping. Canada has a proud history of assisting in the defence and maintenance of peace internationally. More than 125,000 Canadian Armed Forces members have served in peacekeeping efforts in dozens of countries. Veterans' Week recognizes their courage, service and sacrifice.
